Electrochemical technologies coupled with biological treatments

چکیده
When possible, the bioprocesses should be implemented to treat wastewater for their cost-effectiveness. However, many effluents are composed of biorecalcitrant organic pollutants, especially in industrial wastewaters. Advanced physico-chemical treatments therefore needed deal with these pollution levels. Electrochemical processes could cost-effective solutions. energy required reach complete mineralization is often high. One promising combination would combine electrochemical that can remove xenobiotic compounds from effluent biotechnologies able mineralize biodegradable fraction. Therefore, this review presents most recent articles dealing combination, by mainly focusing on advanced oxidation demonstrated have high removal efficiency compounds. Additional and imperative information about treatment strategy engineering aspects upscaling approach also given.

متن کاملPopulations of coupled electrochemical oscillators.
Experiments were carried out on arrays of chaotic electrochemical oscillators to which global coupling, periodic forcing, and feedback were applied. The global coupling converts a very weakly coupled set of chaotic oscillators to a synchronized state with sufficiently large values of coupling strength; at intermediate values both intermittent and stable chaotic cluster states occur. Cluster for...

Biological Treatments in Atopic Dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common chronic inflammatory skin diseases that affect both children and adults with a prevalence of 30% and 10%, respectively. Even though most of patients respond satisfactory to topical anti-inflammatory drugs, about 10% require one or more systemic treatments to achieve good control of their illness. The progressive and increasingly detailed knowledg...
